First check to see if the crankshaft bolt is tight(bottom pulley).if it is then replacing the tensioner may be in order

Need timing marks for 96 hyundai accent 1.5 sohc

If your old belt is still on the easiest way and can't go wrong is to mark the timing belt and pulleys in same position so they line up using nail varnish as it dries quicker than paint, wait for it to dry and then take bel off transfer the marks onto new belt by putting belts together making sure the are in line then just put belt onto car lining up with the marks on the pulleys tension belt and job done

Engine won't start

You need to check the electronic engine control system for fault codes and do the appropriate diagnostics for the codes received, learn how to do that here. You may also have mechanical engine problems like a camshaft timing Bel that has failed, see if the cams turn with the engine crankshaft pulley. If the cam belt has failed you have big problems because this is an interference engine and the engine valves will be bent, that means the engine heads must at very least come off for repair. At that point it is better to junk the car.

What's your problem?no power after replacing the timing belt.

If your timing belt broke, then you likely have bent valves that need to be repaired so the head needs to come off znf be sent out to get fixed. If you replaced it as part of routine maintenance, then it's most likely that you are off timing by 1 or 2 teeth. This happens quite often when you tighten the belt tensioner. Realign your timing marks on the crankshaft and see whether the cam marks line up or not. If not loosen the bel, slip it off the cams and turn them into place. It shouldn't be more than 1 tooth. Hope this helps.

I just got a 1993 MITSUBISHI DIAMANTE timing belt broke and was fixed the right way but still won't start

do a compreshion test on the engine you may have bent the velves or even put the belt on a fuw teeth out check the timeing as well that could also be out,
its very easy to let the gears slip out a bit when fitting on a new belt

could be the a/c compressor. The compressor went up on my jeep and it made horrible sounds. Hold a kindlin stick or large screwdriver to the compressor with engine running and put your ear to the other end. You will be able to tell if this is the problem. Dont get to close to the belt

I hope you put the timing belt in correctly. If you did not, the valves are bent.
