03 focus shakes

remove the front disc rotors and have them machined as they are warped or damaged causing the problem under braking. The rotors are trying to make the disc pads move to the warp and this is loading up the cailper slide pins resulting in a shaking front end.

How do I remove rear rotors for a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd

First....raise the vehicle safely, and remove the tire.
Second....get the tools to remove the brake caliper, and then remover the caliper and brakes.
Third....Get the tools to remove the caliper BRAKET that hold the caliper in place, Now after this is removed you'll have to use a rubber mallet or some type of bangin object to losen the brake rotor and it should pop or slide off. I've changed the rear rotors with my dad on our 03 silverado 1500hd, Hope this goes well, please rate thanks... Charles

Replacing brakes, 03 mini

there is nothing special about replacing the wear sensors. The tools that you will need are 7mm allen, 16mm 6 point socket, ratchet, T-50, large channel locks, and a keyed pad pusher for the rear calipers.

Ford Expedition rear brake brake replacement

The rear pads are usualy harder than the front and the harder the pads the more wear there is on the rotors Unless the rotors were worn to the point of replacement they could have had them skimmed.Being soft doesnt make much sense.Have an 03 ba falcon and only replaced our rotors after doing 125000ks The expidition is a similar beast that used the same brake system.Get the rotors skimmed and go to a slightly softer pad to extend rotor life

2004 Toyota Camry Brakes

Raise the vehicle up and remove the rims & tires

Remove the brake pads, and then remove the calipers from the caliper retention brackets, do NOT remove the brake hoses from the calipers.

Remove the caliper retaining brackets from the hub assemblies (2 large bolts on backside of the bracket)

Tap the brake rotors off of the hubs, hit them from the back side of the rotor.

No big mysteries here, this is a very easy job.

The small hole is for adjustment of the parking brake. There should be a rubber grommet in it. Remove the grommet and rotate the disk until you can see a 'toothed wheel' through the hole. Then use a screw driver to turn the wheel. This wheel expands and retracts the parking brake shoes. Retract the shoes as far as possible and the disks will come off.
