1995 mercury mystique heating problem

My heater fan wouldn't work on speeds 1 & 2 for about 2months, but would work on the higher 3rd speed. Now the fan doesn't work at all & i'm not getting any heat through the vents with the car warmed up & driving. What could be the problem & i don't know anything about cars. Thanks

Fan relay for a 95 mercury mystique

WHAT fan relay? Engine cooling fan relay? If so, which one? The high speed relay or the low speed relay? Not the cooling fan relay? Then are you talking about the A/C-Heater blower fan relay?
It would also be helpful if you were to describe what it is about "fan relay" that you need help with.

My 98 mercury mystique is missing 3rd gear it goes 1st and 2nd fine but wont go over 30mph and no matter how high the rpm go it wont turn over into 3rd gear Help

The likely problem is the VSS or vehicle speed sensor. The transmission uses the speed from the speed sensor to determine the shift points. You should have the check engine light on it will probably show a code for the speed sensor. Hope this helps!

Heater fan on 1997 Mercury Mystique only works on "high" after replacing blown fuse.

You will need to replace your speed sensor switch located beside blower motor 2inch by 1inch single plug if you had a replacement in hand you could better identify it.

My mercury mystique is over heating when driving slow and stopping or yeilding but now when going long distance and fast speed

The fan clutch is not engaging and turning fast enough. I would have it check by a mechanic for the fan clutch, thermostat, and coolant flow from the water pump

Mercury Mystique 1996 Blower A/C - Heat switch issue

Click on the link for part of wiring diagram for your blower motor. The speed control is on ground side of blower motor. At the moment, I suspect a resistor problem. Replace resistor pack or do some testing, to verify.

Fan control doesn't work

You will have to remove the panel from under the dash on the passenger side, I believe it has 4 push pins holding it up. Then you will be able to get to the resistor or the motor.

I have a mercury mystique and it is overheating at lower speeds, what is the problem?

Can you verify that the radiator fan is coming on when needed? Your Mystique has an electric radiator fan. A sensor on the engine tells the computer to turn on the fan. If it is overheating in traffic or at speeds lower than 45 mph, you fan is probably not working when it should. Your mechanic should be able to tell with a scan tool if the computer is turning the fan on or not. Most likely culprit is the fan relay, but I've seen these with a bad fan motor also.
