Question about 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Power windows, mirrors and locking mechinsm in drivers door just quit working all of a sudden.
Get a New LED Flashlight and Hold it Behind the Fuses to check them for a Blown Fuse First. There is a Fuse box inside the Jeep and a Fuse Relay Box Under the Hood. Under the Hood also Check the Fuses, If the Fuses are all Good, Then look for a Relay Box in the Box under the Hood. There should be a Relay for PW, PL, Inside this Box. Just Replace the Relays and they Should Work. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Try disconnecting the drivers door module (the box containing the window and mirror switchgear) then reconnecting it. This sometimes brings them back to life. From memory I think you need to remove the drivers door trim (watch out: fragile, expensive and several hidden screws) to get to the back of the module or to remove. If this dosen't help check the wiring to the door (this normally dosen't cause a problem). If still no luck module replacement is probably required. I know this sucks especially as the modules were about £300 when I worked for a jeep dealer 2 years ago but they are electronic modules not just switches. Although a second hand module SHOULD work as they don't require coding to the vehicle unlike newer vehicles.
