First check the oil and see if it is full. the injectors are fired by oil pressure so check those things first.

2007 F350 diesel. Died at a traffic light and wouldn't start. There is oil in the radiator overflow tank and the oil gauge doesn't register.

It sounds like a head gasket problem. A Radiator pressure test may reveal that there is a bridge between water and oil. This is not a guarantee because escaping oil is pressurized from 40-65PSI and the water system is in the neighborhood of 16-18PSI so there is significantly more oil pressure than water pressure. In short, it is easier for the oil to get to the water.

Another test would be to remove the Glowplugs. You may only have one bad side and if the antifreeze blows out the holes for the Glowplugs, you may only need to remove 1 head.

Check your dipstick. See if oil is mixed with water in crankcase.. Check oil level to explain action of pressure gauge.

I just put a 1998 Ford Expedition 5.4 L on the road. The machine was lied up since January 2009. Everything runs great but some of my gauges are out to lunch. My oil pressure is reading low and I just...

Sometimes a bad battery connection will cause gauges go hay wired. Turn your switch on but not over and see if your gauges do the same without the car running. try loosening the battery cables and reposition the post.

I have a 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel and It wont start after the motor gets warm. It also starts rough when cold. When it is running it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue and luckily my F350 2006 was still under warranty. Basically there is a high pressure oil system that has a tendency to leak internally. You won't see any oil leak. When cold the oil has enough viscosity to keep the pressure sensor from not allowing the engine to start. When the engine is warm the system doesn't reach required pressure to allow the engine to start. In short it's a Ford dealer repair. Good luck.

F350 super duty 2004 ford won't start, is firing but won't start at all. Changed fuel filter and pressed the reset button on the fuel tank and still won't start.

just to be sure.....attach a fuel pressure gauge to your fuel rail ....just to see if you have fuel pressure......if theres not enough pressure it won;t start at all.....even ten pounds shy.these gauges can be bought at your local auto store

F350 Super Duty Diesel 2005 suddenly died while driving.Cranks fine but wont start.Help

that's good but it still doesn't rule out a leak in the high pressure oil system. When you turn on the key do the injectors buzz like normal? Usually 5-10 secs
