I am in the process of replacing the Power Steering Pump on my 2006 Ford F-250 Lariat w/ 6.0L Diesel. Need solutions on how to fix it...

I forgot to mention during our chat that to remove the serpentine belt, all you have to do is pull the tensioner back. The tensioner has a square hole in it. Use a 1/2" breaker bar and stick it into the hole and pull the tensioner back to release the tension while you slip the belt off of one of the pullies. You don't have to take the belt off of all of them...Just so you get it off of the power steering pump pully.

How do you get your power steering pump bracket off so you can get your power steering pump off a 2004 Ford Tarus

This may be helpful. Not familiar with '04, but 1998 Ford Taurus requires you to first pull off the power steering pump pulley using a pulley tool borrowed from a local parts store. The alternative is to break the pulley (plastic) with a hammer to get to the bolts and then use the pulley tool to
get the rest of the pulley loose and replace with another 10 or 11 dollar pulley after you have remounted the steering pump and bracket. The reason the pulley has to come off is there is another
bolt behind the pulley. Hope this is helpful.

How to remove pully from powersteering pump?

You need a power steering pulley puller. This is about the least expensive one that you will find:

Be careful not the bend the pulley as they are $100-200 for a replacement! Soak the center shaft with a quality penetrating oil like Kroil or PB Blaster for a day or two before.

ReplaceTentor pully on 1998 Town and Country

It very well could be the tensioner if it does not sit straight, or the idler pulley if the bearings have gone out, but usually 99% of the time it is the power steering pulley that is pulling out from the power steering pump, and that is usually what is causing the belt to mis-align especially at the waterpump pulley, check the alignment of that pulley very well.
