Easy to do but you will need to change the pair .remove wheel and then undo the two bolts holding the caliper support bracket to the hub which are two 17mm headed bolts .pull the unit off and out from the disk leaving the pipe connected but disconnecting a small support bracket let it hang ,then using an impact driver to remove the screw in the disk that holds it place to the hub.Easy weekend mechanic this shouldnt take more than half hour, dont forget to pump brake pedal before driving car.

My Peugeot 206 cc is displaying Breaking fault on the dashboard but I have changed both breaking disks and pads. What might be still the problem.

it could be the ABS system, the proportioning valve in the brake system, low fluid in the reservoir.
run the fault codes to find the reason.

HI , i have peugeot 407 2005 one month ago started to give me break system faulty so i went to a repair shop and changed all the break pads front and back all new costed me 300 $ , now the car is giving me...

If in fact the shop DID replace the pads on the car, I'd take it back to them ASAP or it could be that the BCM (brake control module) is malfunctioning. Take it back to the shop, let them look it over and see if the problem is something they did. If it's a large well known shop then they should be honest with you. If it's a small hole in the wall type shop that you used because you were trying to save money, then run. Take it to the dealer and let them fix it. If it is the BCM, be prepared to spend upwards of $1000 for the new module and labor.

Peugeot 407 problems

Take the vehicle to Autozone, Oreilly's, NAPA, they will put a "CODE READER" on your vehicle for FREE to help diagnose the problem. They will also show you where the part is on the vehicle and loan tools but they cannot replace the part for you.

Sounds like a sensor either on the pad or on the mastercylinder.

I hope this helps.

Hi I have a peugeot 406, I HAVE REPLACE THE FRONT BREAK DISC AND THE BREAK PADS BUT IT STILL GIVE THAT HORABLE NOIOSE WHEN I BREAK. Its realy iritating and i take good care of my car,

Remove the brake pads from the car and smear small amount of high melting point silicone grease e.g. Carlube, at the back of the brake pads. Be careful do not put on too much and never has it touch the pad material and the disc rotor. if you do, remove it with brake clearner immediately. The squeaks noise shall disappear if you fix it properly.

Peugeot Partner Van Brakes Drive Shaft

Check both sides of the discs if they are ok.If yes then quite possible that there is lots of brake dust between the discs and pads.

I get brake judder t low breaking speeds on my 607. Feels like the ABS is kicking in. Pads and disks recently changed. Could it be a sensor faulty?

Next time you park up the car, put your hand on the wheel trims and they should be slightly warm. If you find that one of the front wheels are hot, then suspect the brake calipher. If it turns out to be a problem with the rear brakes, then they are binding if they are hub brakes and not disc.
