right its the cold start device thats causing the problem, diagnosing isnt the problem ,i would pop round and have a look but iam in alicante spain and second problem i have never seen one of these blazers only post replys so i couldnt tell you where it is on the vehicle. What happens is their is a sensor thats reading the air temperature and enrichening the mixture, now their could be two sensors as well with one measuring the outside temperature and another with a sensor in the engine block or cyl head and its all linked to a computer which is then allowing air to be drawn from either the outside or from the exhause shroud which is designed so that the manifold doesnt freeze up.Now where these sensors are ?? i honestly dont know but if emmisionwiz is about he could no doubt tell you straight away.Sorry i cant be more specific

2001 chevy blazer... I changed the timing belt & balancer shaft gears & now it wont start. it turns over, has fire , it acts like it wants to start,& kinda spits back thru carborator

It sounds as though the valve and/or the ignition timing is off. It is extremely important to follow GM's instructions to get everything lined up correctly. I hope this helps.

I jumped started someones car and now my car wont start

It is most likely having to do with your charging system. The car battery might have been weakened by jumping your aunts car. If your battery is fine and your battery connectors aren't corroded (have gunk all over them) then i would check your alternator. P.S. the 2001 chevy blazer is fuel injected, I would stop pouring fuel into where ever you are pouring it. lol.

1996 4dr Blazer is it the Fuel Pump or Fuel Pump Relay??? Just tonight "check guages" light came on and truck stopped running. Happen to be near repair shop, mechanic said its the fuel pump cause...

Spray gas into your carborator. Try to start it. If it starts and dies instantly, it is probably the fuel pump. You can also check the voltage going out of the pump. It should be near 12 volts. If it is not kicking on, it is probably no volts. Check the filter though. If it is clogged, it wont start.

I have a 1995 chevy blazer that wont start by cranking it will start if you spray gas into intake was starting before bleeding the air out of fuel rails

sounds like your fuel pump is dead or you still have air in the system

however, even if you had air in the system, it purges itself when you try to start

therefore, a weak fuel pump cannot overcome the air block and your car won't start

however, you did not specify if the vehicle will stay running once started on carb cleaner

if the vehicle starts and stays running with the carb cleaner then you are probably dealing with a defective fuel pressure regulator
