You should be a panel on the inside ofyour trunk to be able to pull the bulb out in there. Are you can go to most autoparts stores, and they will change them out for You.

Having trouble with headlight and tail light

It sounds like a fuse problem. You don't state what make of car but some have a fuse for each headlamp and tailight located in the box under the hood. Good luck.

i think you'll find with a test light at the tail light connector, that the you do have power but the problem is the unit that holds the bulbs and is a printed circuit is bad

I have a GMC 2000 2500, the passenger rear tailight/brake/reverse lights are out. It is not the bulbs and not the fuse. All other lights are working. Got any suggestions? Thanks.

Try the wireing harness on the driver side rear to the passenger side you may have some wires caroded also it could be shorted out pig tails. If this helped you please rate this free question and if you need more help post here and thanks for using for Fix-ya.com

My 95 galany blows the tailight fuse everytime i turn on the headlights I still have breaklights turn signals and headlights but no taillights

you could have a shorted tail light bulb. these also controls the park lights at the fronts. so please check all four bulbs. replace what ever busted bulb you can find.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Brake lights

If all of the wiring, fuses, bulbs, and switches are good (which is what it seems since everything else works fine including the turn signals on the passenger taillight), sounds like it may just be a bad socket. I have a somewhat similar problem on a 1986 F150.

Breaklights

Chances are that the circuit boards that hold the bulbs behind the tailights are defective, as is common with these vehicles. They cost about $15 for each side from O'Rielly. Try that first. I'm pretty sure that is your problem. If not, you can always return the part.
