Question about 2000 Dodge Durango
On cold starts the engine will stall out. If i start it and hold the idle up for 5 to 10 min it will run but surge 400 - 800 rpm. put it in gear without you foot on the pedal and it will stall. Once warmed up and driven it runs good aslong as the engine is warmed up. It is not running any codes. and if the battery is disconnnected for 30-60 min then reattached it runs perfectly for a couple days then it starts all over again.
I know this may sound stupid but if your battery is old or a little weak on this vehicle the idle air control solenoid will act speradicley hunting for were it should be and the vehicle will stall.replace battery
