Cig lighter not working and 12 v in ford foucs ztec diesel 2009

Need to use sat nav... cigerette lighter and 12 v socket not working... stuck in europe.. checked fuses all in working order

Check the fuse in the plug in
it should unshrew and put another in
try that first

the cigarette lighter fuse is usually the radio,clock ,instrument panel illumination fuse as well .If these other items are working ok i'd have to say the cigarrette lighter heat element is burned out or there is a loose /disconnected wire to the cigarette lighter socket

do not change the batery. If the car still runs fine the problem is a blown fuse. Find the fuse panel, On the back side of the fuse panel cover is the fuse location chart. Look for the cig lighter fuse it is probably 20 amp

Where is the fuse for the cigerette lighter located?


the car has 2 fuse boxes, the one you want is inside the car labled cig. 20 amp yellow, possible cause,worn out lighter element, heavy smoker? or installing car phone or other adpters into the socket, GM cars have short lighter sockets and are only for lighters, Kirk fe6fc

Replace CIG. LIGHTER fuse, fuse box is located under dash, driver side.

its fuse 46 and it should be a 15 amp according to the manual as i have the same car as you hope this helps

the fuse should be on the socket that you plug into the cigarette hole, ie the lead that connects to your sat nav. i assume you are on about the sat nav not the fuse for cig lighter

Cigerette lighter and secondary power source is not working


the fuse box is located under the driver side dash and the cig lighter fuse is in position 16 and the fuse amp rating is 20 it will be yellow in color. if you cant find # 16 position then pull all yellow fuses one by one to check.

Cigaret lighter not working


I am not that familiar with peugeot's but. You can buy a test light for cheap or construct one if you have the parts. And most cars have a fuse box inside the car and another one outside under the hood.
At the least you can pull each fuse at a time and check if thier burnt out.
Also check to see if there's a foreign object (like a coin) in the cig lighter socket.
