Ok Gotcha here we go

  1. Output Shaft has A Brass Bushing in tail shaft housing that supposed to minimize that Play the clearances vary but you R right Shouldn't be a lot of UP-DOWN Play look in to that.
  2. As for the Seal if it got Bent & or the Spring inside it Poped out it Will not Seal
  3. Also If the Yoke Sah A WEAR Channel on it that will Leak Im not sure if they make a SPEEDY SLEVE for yokes or not they do fof HArmonic Ballancers and many other Apps.
  4. Otherwise make sure you have the right seal Look for Part # with a Magnifing Glass the # is on the outside Lip of the seal Strange but TRUE
  5. Again I cant Stress Enough that it HAS TO GO ON STRAIGHT
  6. Also Look for Cracke at the back of thae tail shaft Housing Because if the YOKE is TOO TOO Loose that drive shaft WILL Beat the Seal & Housing into Submision
Other than that It Cant be much more than that . I realy Hope this helps and you can get it takin care of through this, If it Helps PLEASE RATE Me FAIF for this

1995 passport troubleshoot slow leak in manual transmission

There is a seal on the input and output shaft and a seal on the top cover . A slow leak will have road dirt collecting on the leaking area. An input shaft leak will in time foul the clutch disk. An output seal will cause the drive shaft to be wet where it connects to the transmission.

Why would the left side output shaft keep leaking after repced 3 timeson 1994 saturn sl2

There is a bearing or bushing that is possibly worn out or there is a groove worn in the axle shaft where the seal rides. Have any other parts been replaced.

Do i need a special tool to remove the transmission seal on a 2002 kia sportage?

Which Seal?

Have you gotten under & checked the driveaxle seals?

The big leak will be the torque converter pump seal
That requires removing the transxale

Sort of old to do that & not rebuild the trans while your at it

Trans leak on a toyota pickup

No there is no internal oil seal in the tail housing.
Maybe you damaged the seal when refitting the tailshaft.. It is easy to do.. Did you grease the seal so the tailshaft wouldn't damage it upon reinsertion?

Leaking Tcase after replacing seal?

If you did not damage it during install, you may have a bad output bearing which is allowing shaft to move up & down, check shaft to see if it moves. Generally unless there is a pronounced groove in the yoke seal surface it will not leak. (I generally put a small amount of rtv black on outside of seal to prevent any seepage around outside.
