Question about 2005 Ford F 350 Super Duty
I have a 1999 ford f 350 crew cab with the 5.4 the service engine light came on and i scanned it and it said the # 7 piston plug coil was not working so i changed the coil and the problem was still there. theni checked if there was power to the coil and there wasent. so i was wandering what to check next and wher is the power coming from to that coil. thanks
Did you change the spark plugs? The engine computer fires these coils. Are you sure you got the correct coil that was bad?Try swapping the coils with another to see if problem moves with the suspect coil.If your scanner will do it, use the cylinder balance feature to pinpiont weak cylinders.
