Did you change the spark plugs? The engine computer fires these coils. Are you sure you got the correct coil that was bad?Try swapping the coils with another to see if problem moves with the suspect coil.If your scanner will do it, use the cylinder balance feature to pinpiont weak cylinders.

Have a 1986 F350 4wd crew cab with a 460 , A couple months ago I replaced the coil , plugs roter and cap it was running great . This afternoon I tried to start her up it cranks but won't start .

So start by checking for spark and fuel. If no spark or fuel you will need to troubleshoot that system further but before we can do that you need to verify if you have both of those.

1 and 6 is causing service light to come on. Need firing sequence and how to tackle this problem?

When you have multiple misfire codes, your best bet is to just change all the spark plugs. Ford has been known to have a lot of problems with spark plug removal and stripped holes so be very careful if you do this yourself. It would be a good idea to apply a very small amount of "never seize" compound to the plug threads when you install the new ones. Also the coil packs and plug extension boots are problematic, you may have bad coil packs at those cylinders.daves944_11.jpg

What is the firing order for a 2005 nissan titan crew cab? Which one is cylinder one and where can I find it? PLEASE HELP!!!

The firing order is 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2 and the #1 cylinder is located at the left front of the engine and the spark plug and ignition coil for the #1 cylinder will be the first ignition coil and spark plug on the front of the left side of the engine on top of the valve cover, and to remove an ignition coil dis-connect the wire connector to the ignition coil, then remove the bolt securing the ignition coil (usually this is one 10 mm bolt) and give the ignition coil a twist as you pull it straight up and out of the spark plug well, and if you are removing the spark plug then use a socket with an extension and swivel to loosen up and tighten the spark plug, but use about a 6 inch length of 3/8 inch fuel line pushed onto the spark plug to actually remove the old spark plug and also to start the new spark plug down inside of the spark plug well to reduce the possibility of cross-threading or damaging the threads for the spark plug. Here are some images to assist you and the ignition coil location image shows the right side of the engine for reference, with cylinders 2-4-6-8 and this was just the best image that I could find to make that diagram, however they are laid out the same on the left side of the engine 1-3-5-7, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Spark plug wire replacement

I do not know if you have the 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L engine.
However I have included all of them below.

For the 4.3L
Firing Order:
1-6-5-4-3-2

Cylinders:
(back of engine)
6-------5
4-------3
2-------1
(front of engine)

Distributor:
.............(back)
Coil---->o
....6---->o.......o<-----5
....4---->o.......o<-----1
....2---->o.......o<-----3
............(front)

For the 4.8L AND 5.3L AND 6.0L:
Firing Order:
1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3

Cylinders:
(back of engine)
8----------7
6----------5
4----------3
2----------1
(front of engine)

Ignition Coils are to the side of their respective cylinders:
Coil......CYLINDER......Coil
8->o--->|8............7|<----o<-7
6->o--->|6............5|<----o<-5
4->o--->|4............3|<----o<-3
2->o--->|2............1|<----o<-1
