2003 Kia Spectra Loss of power during exceleration

The car idles fine, but roughly around 10 mph and beyond it bogs, however the car will gain speed, but if the pedal in pressed beyond this it will lose speed and power almost to a stall it also eats gas like crazy 85 miles on half a tank of gas. The spark plugs and wires are new no check engine lite anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
The air cleaner mighty be clogged causing insufficient air supply. That is why it runs fine on idle because less air is needed and when the engine demands for more air, there isn't enough.

2004 Kia Optima idles rough when AC on; idles fine when AC off -- what is the problem?

Putting on the AC causes power to be taken from the engine, and that is quite usual (unless it's taking excessive power but if there are no noises and it's working ok that's unlikely).
That will slow down the engine (similar to switching on your heated rear window whilst idling)
What you are seeing is the idle is probably a bit slow, and it's too slow with AC on. Have a diagnostic run to check idle speed and mixture at low revs.

Kia idles rough when switching from heat to defrost also happens sometimes when driving

That's your AC compressor kicking in and out to assist in defrosting. AIS (automatic idle speed motor) should overcome that, unless it needs cleaning, or maybe a tune-up is due., I'd try cleaning throttle body with spray cleaner first to see if that in itself may help. Spray a little extra in direction of port for AIS motor.
