1994 plymouth voyager, not shifting into drive

Not shifting? or is the tranny dust? Is this mechanical (in the linkage) or does the transmission "spin" when put into Drive?

The Voyager is infamous for it's bad transmissions.. Craigslist is "littered" with Caravans and Voyagers that need transmissions.. The replacement can cost as much as $2600.. and finding a used one is not always easy.. the cheapest and best way to replace it is get a rebuilt one.. and do it yourself.. it is time consuming yet fairly simple on the 3.0 engine. The hardest part is seperating the struts.. this might be a two man job.. BTW.. don't let the torque converter fall out of the transmission.. get a book if you attempt this repair at home.. jack he van up as high as you can.. the engine is easily supported with a couple of 2x4 cut to fit..

I have replaced a transmission on 1995 Caravan..

Transmission went out in a Plymouth Voyager Van 1999 is it worth fixing

A rebuilt tranny with labor will cost you @ $2500 to $2700. Did the tranny fail or possibly did the differential pin drop out? If the pin dropped out this repair will be @ $600.

I hope this may have assited you,
Tom

My 94 plymoth vorger is chuging when at an even speed and shuts itself down when ever it feels like it ,but starts right up agien, but when the van has been sitting it is hard to start it up agien. Help

need to have fuel pressure tested. it could be other issues but lets start easy. have a TRUSTED technician test for fuel pressure when the problem occurs and check fuel filter for being plugged.

SETTING TIME ON 1994 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER

Hi LMSADA,

Contact the parts store that sold you the timing belt and they should be able to give you the timing settings on your van.

You know if you are going to keep doing major work on your van it would be worth your while to purchase a Chilton's book that is specific for your van.

My transmition jumps when going to 3rd gear and/or overdrive

This is all to common a post for your van, read it over and over again, there are class action law suits over this transmission having so many failures, if any money has been paid out i can't say, buy u will need to have the trans removed and torn down and overhauled to correct this problem
