Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
We have been dealing with this problem for over a year.....We have taken it to a local mechanic 13 times and 2 times at the dealership. All with no success. It has 120,000 miles on it, the computer (PCM) has been replaced 3 times, fuel pump changed, fuel filter replaced, map sensor replaced, and we are still SO frustrated! It looks great from the outside, but even the Manager of the dealership says that with the age, we would probably get into further probs., and to get a new car. Of course he would say that! Did not solve the problem! Even got Jeep Headquarters involved, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. We are about to trade it, but would like try to get input from anyone who knows Jeeps and has had this problem one more time! We cannot be the only ones! Help! Thanks.
Does the vehicle die and not start back up until it coold down? if so, I had the same prob on my 94. I replaced the crank shaft position sensor and it cured the prob completely
