No its a hub and bearing you have lift the truck remove wheels front remove caliper braket that hold the brake pads behind 4 bolt that hold the bearing cv joint nut in the middlehammer the bearing to loosen it up sometime there hard to remove after its off clean where the bearing goes so it will fit good if you have abs disconnect the connector reassemble good luck pierre p.s yes you can do that in our garage the only thing is you need some tolls

I would recommend taking this to a reputable shop you will have to remove a number of parts from the front suspension the have to deal with pressing the hub bearing out then the new one back in

Do you need to have a special tool to change a front wheel bearing on a Kia Sportage 4x4

Any front drive car will be more complex to change a front wheel bearing than the old read-drive cars. It may indeed need a special tool.

ROARING sound IN RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ON pontiac aztec

Two likely problems.

CV Joint, or Wheel Bearing... constant "roaring" that does not change under power, breaking or turning is likely a Bearing, worse when turning or accelerating, CV Joint. Both fun to fix...!

It sounds like you have a wheel bearing going out. Get it replaced before it tears your spindle up.

I have a 1999 blazer. It was making a roaring noise in the front end. Took it to a garage. They replaced the passenger side wheel bearings. This cost around $400.00 for parts and Labor. When I picked the...

Ask them why it wasn't a problem before the work that they did in that area, and if it normally needs replacement because of bearing work done, then why wasn't it done, and why should you pay the labor to pull everything apart again? Call your local parts store or dealer for price on part, so you know what they're charging you for labor. If it's 2 wheel drive, (repairpal.com) gives an estimate of about $75-$100 for labor & $50-$75 for parts.? Something not right here! Have you dealt with these guys before?

Replacing the front wheel bearings of a Honda Accord 1993 SE

yes you need a press to remove the bearing and hub , you can use the same hub as long as where the hub goes into the bearing is not scored in any way . the knuckle would have to be taken off and sent to a machine shop if you done have a press. and you should also use caution when putting the nut back on thr axle.

Hub assembly and wheel bearings problem

Plan on spending more than $75 on this repair I am quite shore that that wont evan cover the parts. It definitely has a wheel bearing in the case of this vehicle it can only be replaced as an assembly that includes the hub. The ABS wheel speed senser is often sold as part of the assembly or in some cases is sold separately. good chance it will need to be replaced. Get the job done as soon as possible this is a very unsafe condition Your wheel will fall off while driving eventually if not repaired
