If there are no screws in the dome lens or base of the light, use a small screwdriver or a plastic trim tool (better) to remove the lens by prying it gently. If you are looking to remove the whole light, you can get a little more vigorous in prying the base of the light away from the attach point.

Replacing the front dome light

The front dome lamp & map lamps are replaced from the back, they are 1/4 turn bulb holders.

The overhead console ( non rail ) is held on with spring clips. Open the rear compartment, and in each corner grab the console with your thumb and index finger and pull down. The 1st time you remove it, it is very hard to pull down, the springs are very stiff.

The rail system, the service manual says to pull the overhead bins 1st, then pull the consoles out ( also spring clips )

One wants 2 know how repair my switches on my drivers door , also I need 2 change my dome lights I have the rail lights

You can't repair the switches themselves you will have to replace them. To do this take a small screwdriver and get underneath an edge. You will have to pop it up as there are clips underneath it holding it in place.Remove the wires and replace the switch. To change your dome light is the same idea, the lense should just pop out then you can remove the bulb to replace as necessary.

Need the wireing diagram for 1997 blazer Cant get power to nothing no dome light headlights or anything.. Want to know were the grounds to the motor come from..

Well most have coated wire from batterie to motor then another flat bare braided ground strap from the rear of the motor to the firewall and yet another on the outside of the frame rail to the cab.You can always take a set of jumper cables and run from the negative of the batterie to something bare metal in the cab, like the parking brake bracket.Well hope this helps and goog luck.

How do u change interior dome light 2004 ford f-150

For the none rail system front console ( where the map lights are at ), open the rear compartment, and grab each rear corner, and pull down hard.
It is held up with 4 ( 6? ) spring clips. It will be very hard the first time you do this.

If you are talking about the rear dome lamp, if you checked the 3 position switch location ( on, on w/ doors, always off ) if you look at the side opposite the switch, you should see a notch in the lens, this is where you use a small screw driver to carefully push in the tab that holds the dome lamp up.

If it is the rail system, the front is still held on with spring clips, and is a bit tricky to get a good hold. I suggest a plastic trim tool to grab the end of the console where it meets the roof liner, to pull it down.

You will need to take the plastic cover off the dome light. You will find screws that will need to be removed. Once removed dome light should come down. Disconnect wires.

Dome lights won't work or power mirrors

Ford's are notorious for electrical 'ghosts'.
If the fuses are all fine.. and the motors for the windows and the light bulb for the dome light are good... probably not much that can be done unless you want to give it to the dealer for diagnosis and repair, but they'll probably tell you they can't find the problem.
