1999 intrepid wont start

Just had a new battery put in a month ago. Left in cold for a few weeks without starting. Starts with a boost, let it run for 20min, shut it off and now it wont start without a boost. When I turn the key it flickers but the engine doesn't make any noise or activity.

Your alternator might be out. To check it get someone to give you a jump start. Start your car then turn on your head lights on. Leave it on for at least 30 min. If the lights dim or the car dies it's your alternator. You can also test it by starting your car then disconnect the battery while the car is running. If it stays running then it's the battery. If it's the battery just return it at where you bought it and explain the situation. Your battery should have a warranty so they should replace it.

Sounds like a bad alternator. Boost vehicle, if starts disconnect from boost vehicle, run Impala for a few minutes then disconnect positive on battery, if Impala stops running likely the alternator no good, replace it.

Check and clean the terminals then boost the car to start it after it starts. Well it's running take off the positive terminal if the car stops running the alternator is no good and you have to replace it.

2001 ford 250 s/dv-10turns over fine. wont start sometimes.when it starts it runs fine.seems like cold weather makes it worse.if it starts it wont die.started about a month ago and getting worse.

Make sure the battery doesn't have a dead cell or is over two years old first. Then depending on usage I would definately think about getting a new starter. I would suspect your battery first, due to the cold weather corrolation.

If you have already replaced the battery with a new one, it may be that the starter is drawing more than the rated amperage, and/or that the relay for the remote start system is damaged. It could also be that the remote start has to be reprogrammed after having been without power for a while. If the car starts normally with a key, check the fuse for the remote start system. If the fuse is OK, try to find the relay for the remote start. If it is an aftermarket unit, it will probably be under the dash. Once you find it, you can test or replace this relay. If there is no separate relay for the remote start, or if this relay is not faulty, it probably needs to be reprogrammed. You can probably find instructions on the manufacturer's website.

Have a 1996 Taurus wagon--dead battery--got brand new battery and connected it properly and car barely turns over and wont turn enough to start--car was sitting for about three months

Was the battery checked before it was sold to you? Batteries will lose their charge over a period of time even when not hooked up. If you have a voltmeter it should read 12.8 volts on a fully charged battery.
Have you tried to boost the car with cables?
I suspect if the car was working OK 3 months ago it should start. Which leads me to suggest an undercharged battery.

My car sometimes wont start and when it does it cuts out and dies

Put a voltmeter on battery. It should say something like 12 volts. Start motor and see if you have about 14.5 volts while running. If not your charging system has failed.

1999 blazer wont start??

Your battery is either faulty or ther is a parasitic drain, have it checked out at parts house. With a good battery installed, spray some starter fluid into intake housing. If it starts, then dies, you have fuel pressure/delivery problems. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key? Hope this helps.
