Muth makes the signal mirrors for repalcing the glass in the mirror head. On the site, they have nice instructions you can use for removing the door panel, and getting the mirror off ( obviously stop at the removing the glass part, and just replace with the mirror head you already have ).
Enter the Make, MY, and model you have, and on the products page are the links to the PDF version of the instructions for download.
Remove that plastic piece at the top of the door panel, ( it just unsnaps straight out), use a small screwdriver or putty knife to help pry it up, it's held in place by plastic clips so be gentle. Unplug the connector from the mirror, Remove the nuts and the mirror assembly will come off, don't let it fall. Installation is the reverse.
what plug. what is this plug for and how did it unplug, some of these mirrors dont come apart they will break the arms for power mirror movement, some do you have to go behind it with a thin screw driver and pop it out, i ve never seen plugs behind the lens its always hard wired, hope this helps.
The entire assembly has to be replaced, can not just replace the mirror.Remove the plastic trim on the inside of the door on the top part of the panel, either comes off with one screw or bolt or simply pull and it has pins in it.Then remove your bolts that hold the mirror in from the inside. If you have a power mirror remove the electrical pigtail, then simply reinstall.Hope I could help..HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
