Question about 1993 Honda Accord

2 Answers

I have a 1993 Honda Accord. Just got it back from the shop and the radio doesn't play. LCD reading says, "code". This car was a gift and we are not the original owners. How do we get the radio to work?

If it is the original radio in the car, I believe with the VIN number, they can tell you the radio code. Worst case is you would have to remove the radio to get the serial number off the radio; with that a dealer can tell you the code. Once you get the code, turn on the radio, then punch in the code on the memory buttons. If you mess it up more than 3 times, you have to leave the radio powered for an hour before attempting it again - so be careful!

I lost the radio code to my 1993 Honda Accord Ex. The battery was disconnected and now the radio needs to be reset. What can I do?

You need to contact dealer and provide them your VIN#. It's theft deterrent radio and dealer is only source for code. TIP: when you get code write it down in your glovebox with a Sharpie

If the code is not written on the radio casing or inside the glove compartment, in/under the ashtray, behind the sun visor (or similar “hidden” place inside your car ) then the majority of HONDA codes may be available here

https://radio-navicode.honda.com

You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Number

If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Hi my 1996 Honda accord radio need a code to play can anyone tell me that code and how to use it.

copy the vin number and call the local dealer - also ask for any recalls --- then also ask for the code - if the radio came with the car they should give it to u in person or on the phone - if the radio didn't come with the car -well that will require taking the radio to a honda dealer and going from there -

Hi there I have 1993 Honda accord EX-R Sedan with Original Stock Radio, which got the Anti-theft lock Code on it..I believe the Serial numbers are FAO31116B for the radio ..I don't have the Code for it to...

Honda indicated the following (since there are an almost infinite number of codes):
Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.
Hope this helps you.

I need the unlock code to the radio.

Find the 5 digit radio code or remove the radio to get the serial number. A Honda dealership can get you the code if you have the serial number.Or they can get both.
