1986 dodge with a 2001 360 dodge magnum motor 600cfm edelbrock carb, air gap edelbrock intake. new plugs (e3s) new wires new coil new ballast.. is all in time.. wont start help

Are you getting spark? You've put a 2001 engine into a 1986 body. The 2001 engine ran with an engine control module (ECM), the 1986 doesn't have that. The 1986 probably has an electronic ignition module that works with the 1986 coil and 1986 reluctor/distributor. You may want to compare the two distributors and the two coils.

I blew the engine a 2002 Dodge 3500 360. Will a 2001 engine from a 1500 truck-also a 360 5.9 liter be used as a replacement? What about the transmission? Will that engine be ok with my tranny?

OK, this is my suggestion. Since the 2002 have the engine blown up, and it have to be taken out, take out also the tranny, and remove the cover from the transmission, and try to fit it in the 2001 engine. If it fit, there is your answer, yes. Now, also make sure that the motor mounts also fit, that are align with the 2001 engine.
But I think it should fit.

I need to no where and how to replace athermostat on a 2001 dodge intrepid 2.7 engine

Follow top radiator hose to motor. Thermostat is under housing that rad hose is clamped to. Drain antifreeze from rad after it has cooled down. There should be a drain **** on rad bottom. Using proper size socjket and ratchet, take out the bolts holdng housing then remove thermostat. Put new thermostat in same way as old one, put on a new gasket and replace housing. Be careful not to overtighten housing bolts. Refill with new antifreeze.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with a cummins diesel that the heating system does not work. It only blows out cold air? I have replaced the thermostat but no improvement. Can you help? CK

I had a 2001 Dodge 3500 with the same issue. In my case, the "air blend door motor" failed. I had it fixed at a Dodge dealership - the motor itself was only about $125 but it cost another $900 for labor - they had to remove the dash & center dash console in order to get to the motor. It did fix the problem though.

I can't find the thermostat on my 2001 Dodge Caravan. Can someone help?

Hello jhenry246, my name is JShreader. Thank you for choosing fixya.com

The Thermostat is located behind the Thermostat Housing on almost all Vehicles. There are 3 different Engine types they used in this Caravan this particular year. I have uploaded you pictures showing the locations of the Thermostat and Housings for each Engine in .pdf format. You can download them by clicking HERE. The engine cooling thermostats are a wax pellet driven, reverse poppet choke type. If you follow the Upper Radiator Hose up to the side of the Engine, it connects to the Thermostat Housing.

You must drain the Cooling System before you remove it. I went ahead and made you up the replacement procedures for replacing this Thermostat. You can download it by clicking HERE.

I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader!
