Question about 2004 GMC Envoy
The brake lights on my 2003 envoy are not working. the tail lights are fine and bulbs are fine. The brake light bar across the top of the hatch door works fine but two rear do not. any idea what the problem is and how i can fix it?

There is a short in the steering column. Put the tilt steering all the way up. You may even have to push it up. This will close the short. Open the cover and you will see the wire has become loose in the harness.

theres usually a pressure switch behind the brake pedal, sometimes the plastic hex nut rattles loose and you have to retighten it.
