Question about 2002 Ford Explorer
Okay, my 2002 Ford Explorer just got fixed and now the 4 wheel drive doesn’t engage when I push the '4X4 High' button.
The work recently done was in the timing case where the Chain guidesand Sprockets were all chewed up to ****. Costs me $1700 to fix but I’mwondering if the mechanic assembled it wrong. Ford is unique in thatthey use Two timing chains instead of one. Could the timing chains haveany affect on engaging 4 wheel drive?
Also could be an electrical issue I think because the 4x4 is a button Ipush on the dashboard and I noticed my clock on the stereo was off likeit had been reset
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
