Changing high mounted stop light bulb

HMS Lamp will be mounted in roof or in rear parcel tray.

You have to locate the screws which will be closed/covered by a dummy cap. Remove the cap and unscrew the assembly, you will be able to replace the bulbs

No low beams bulbs are ok fuses look good

There may be a relay that operates the low beam lights, check the owners manual to see if there is a relay, you should be able to hear it go "click" if there is one.

2007 sonata upper brake light

one of two ways to replace it you either access it throught trunk or you have to remove the high mount light housing and replace it that way. usually if you have to pull the housing off it just snaps in some are held in with a couple of screws

Hyundai 2006 Sonata high mount brake light.

the rear seat does NOT have to be removed in order to replace the stoplamp and/or its bulb.
you have to get into the trunk, and there are (2) philips screws holding the stoplamp secured to the package tray. the actual process takes about 15 minutes, because to do it right you have to actually get IN the trunk.

the price they charged you sounds about right if the price of the stoplamp is included, dealerships tend to overcharge for parts.

High mount stoplight

I, too, have this same problem with my car. All the fuses are fine, and the bulbs are fine. The brake light in the back window works, but the read ones do not. This is crazy.
