How do I change CAB filter - 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4

Hello roesusie: My name is Roger and I will answer for you. In 2003 GMC did not put a cabin air filter in the 1500 or Denali trucks. There is no openings in the heater case for a filter. Some one would have to physically cut the heater case to install it. Sorry I could not give you the answer you wanted. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer as this way I know it was helpful.Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Got heater core need to put it in,want to now how to do it the right and fastest way

In order to replace a heater core in a 1998 gmc jimmy the coolant must be completely drained and the entire dash including radio, vents and panel covers must be removed. four screws hold the top portion(closest to the windsheild) in place. they can be found under the windshield defrost vent. after the entire dash is removed a safety harness under the steering column must be removed and the steering column must be dropped to the driver seat. The heater core housing(black plastic) is located right center of the dash and is a two part housing one piece on top of the other. the housing is attached to the fire wall and must detached before replacement can continue. after detaching the housing from the fire wall separate the housing by unscrewing the six screws that hold it together. the heater core is now exposed. disconnect the heater core from the two hoses and discard. installation is the un installation process in reverse.
Good luck, it is a very long and drawn out process that is not accomplished in just an hour or two . make sure you have most of the day or several afternoons to finish . i started this and it took me 2 afternoons to take apart and put back together

1988 gmc sierra temp gauge

you could have an air lock in the system. Run with rad cap off and cycle the thermostat, adding coolant as required. Or a possible heater core.

2000 gmc sierra 5.3l heater does not get hot

After replacing the thermostat I pulled the heater hoses off and blew air through the heater core at firewall. Can only blow in left side as directional valves will prevent opposite. Chunks of stuff came out with coolant. I then put a piece of hose on the left side and shot water through until it came out clear.
Put it all back together and heat works fine.

No heat on our 2006 sierra pick up

does the temperature guage go up to normal if so probably either a bad blend door motor or broken blend door or heater core cloged you can check the lines if one is cooler than the other then it is most likely the cause
