Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier
Car was running when just stopped. Can turn the key and will crank, even turn over but when you let the ingnition rest at on it dies. Have spark and fuel. I just bought the car and this is what was told to me, now smell bad gas, replaced ingnition switch but still will not start just turn over.
Did you replace the ignition switch or the KEY AND CYLINDER?
These are the only 2 things that can make your engine turn off when you release the ignition switch after starting the engine.
I hope this helps you.
