Need new fuel line for 1999 ford ranger 2.5L 4cyl

Changed my fuel filter and my whole fuel line is rotten and i need a new one all the way from the fuel pump to the filter but when i go to auto part stores they cant offer me any help as to the connections and lines that i need. Seeing how it is my only vehicle i cant just take it off and show them and risk breaking it and they dont have what i need. I also cant find the parts i am looking for online so far and dont really know what they are so if anyone knows i would greatly appreciate it

The fuel lines your seeking are a dealer only item. they are made of a hard plastic that can be repaired, but most techs frown on the
procedure. the fuel system can have between 30-70 psi when working properly and can get really high if there is a problem with a regulator or restriction.
do not repair with regular :hose: type fuel line. get the right fix...

I have a 1983 Ford Ranger Base 4Cyl. 2.3L and I'm trying to find out how to install a new fuel sending unit

The fuel sending unit is in the gas tank. You have to drop the tank to replace it.
Be careful when you lower the tank, not to break any fuel lines.
About the center of the tank where the fuel lines were attatched to, is the sending unit. There should be a locking ring holding it in place.
Take a screw driver and hammer and gently tap the tabs on the ring counterclockwise to loosen it, then just pull out the unit. You might have to twist it a little to get it. Good luck.

Fuel filter installation on 1990 ford ranger xlt

It's on the driver side just behind the door. You need a special tool to pull the lines off of the existing filter. It seems to be a cheap simple tool. it slips over the line then you push toward the filter, it will click then you can pull the line off. Just pull the lines then replace with the new filter. The truck will start funny at first because it will be deprived of gas for a moment but then it should be fine.

If all the coils are giving spark now, then you moat likely have gas fouled plugs now,so change them out with new ones, all 8 of them.If you do not have spark on all plug wires, pull the timing belt cover, and align the cam shaft and the cam,to see if the belt has jumped. If It hasn`t,replace the crankshaft sensor.

I have a 94 ranger 4.0 it surges while driving. Ive changed mas air flow, fuel presure reg, both oxygen sen on pipe, throttle pos sensor and plug wires.HELP!!

There are a few other things you can check that you didn't mention:
Have a fuel pressure test done, the fuel pump could be weak, or not operating right.
Check all the vacuum lines, all it takes is a pin hole in a line to screw up the whole thing.
Also, did you change the fuel filter?
Have the map sensor checked, and the vacuum hose going to it.
Hope this helped a little for you.

You need the spring lock tool to get them off.
