Engine blown i have a 2003 kia sorento and the engine is blown it was just recently in a accident on the front right side. the dealership is telling me it has nothing t do with the accydent. i just got it back on 01/23/09 and now the engine blew 01/29/09 yeterday. i had no warning signs or anything no warning lights i have put abiut 5000 miles on since my last oil chnage but that shoudlnt be a reason for a engine rod to break and my engine blown and now they are saying $5000 to repair ....any suggestions

I cant find my glow plug relay on my kia sorento 2003 WA03SKX

Its in the bonnet, on the right hand side (facing the front of the car) towards the windscreen under a black cover with 2 clips. It's removable and easily replaced. I find it unlikely that it needs replacing however. A more likely reason is the fuse for the glow plugs which is in the driver side footwell. (On a right hand drive car). The car book which came with the car details where all these items are.

I have a 2003 kia sorento ex. when i turn light switch on, nothing happens. I have no tail lights or fog etc. only front running lights. All new bulbs and fuses are fine. Brake lights work.

Hi,

I drive a kia sorento and i have had a similar problem. I have a hitch on the back and the electrical connection was bad and kept blowing fuses. I removed the electrical hookup. Easy to do as it is a plug conected to the harness of your vehicle. Located underneath your vehicle just above the rear wheel well on the passenger side. Your fuse panel is located under the hood of your vehicle next to your battery. Remove fuses one by one and check for any that are blown. I hope this helps.

How do you remove a heater core in a 2003 kia sorento?

HATE TO SAY HEATER CORE IS A GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP FIX.THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO DISCHARGE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM.THE CRASH PAD AND INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS TO BE REMOVED .YOU CAN BUY A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL IT WILL SHOW YOU BUT THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO DISCHARGE THE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM FIRST.FOR SAFETY DUE TO AIR BAGS AND TURN OFF RADIO.DISCONNECT REMOVE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE FOR 20 MINUTES TO DISARM AIRBAGS IN STEERING WHEEL AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.WHEN YOU FINISH THE REPAIR.WHEN PUTTING NEGATIVE BATTERY BACK ON BATTERY.WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH ON POSITION ENGINE OFF THE AIR BAG LIGHT SHOULD ILLUMINATE FOR 4 TO 8 SECONDS THEN GO OFF.

2003 Kia Sorento- po700, po355

P0355....Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction would suggest you need to replace your coil packs. Heat damages them after time and will eventually lead to misfire and very rough running motor especially when it's damp out.

P0700....Transmission Control System Malfunction

I would start researching the possibility of a bad ground, a loose main cable to the battery, etc. If the codes come back, the P0700 can be very serious and could require attention at a Transmission shop or dealership. There is a remote possibility that the codes are entirely unrelated.
