Turn signals flash sometimes other times they just light up

The turn signals will work fine for days and other times you put your turn signal on and the lights just light up and don't flash. Or they start flashing and then stop after 3 or 4 flashes.

All the bulbs are in good working order but I haven't checked each to make sure their seated well in the sockets.

I'll check that out this weekend and let you know if it solves my problem! Thanks

I didn't think my 01 Tahoe had any issues until I went to replace one bulb, and then found that several bulbs had a problem due to water buildup in the lens assembly. I ended up finding a problem at all 4 corners of the vehicle.

Check that all the bulbs are seated well in the sockets, and the bulbs are in good shape.

When the blinkers come on, but don't blink, is an indication that there is a bulb or bulb wiring problem

I fixed mine by replacing the combo switch in the dash board. Popped out the center dash left vent and the combo switch is easily accessible. Part cost 30....I lived with this faulty signal for years before a certified mechanic (family member) told me this was a common issue for the 2001 Malibu.

Replace flasher, or switch with emergency flasher to test.. Should be in with fuses or in that area.

Shouldn't take long, about 5 min. Manual should also tell you where flasher is. May even find it on side of steering column, behind dash.

What part needs fixed when my turn signal blinker blinnks very fast and sometimes not at all.If I put pressure on the turn arm it will stop sometimes or clicking my high beams on or off sets it right

Flashing too fast means that at least one exterior bulb isn't working. IF its an intermittent problem, once bulb could not be making connection at times. next time its flashing fast, stop the car and look to see which bulb isn't working. Replace that bulb, clean the socket at the same time

Fast flashing turn signals

I would change out the turn signal bulb on the right front. A blown bulb can cause the fast flash issue. The signals staying on is not related to the bulb being blown. That is most likely a problem with the multifunction switch, the knob you use to signal.

2000 taurus left turn signal flashes rapidly and the left rear turn signal lamp does not work. Does ford have burned out bulb sense circuit that would give this indication? The right side flashes normally.

Yes - the fast flashing is a warning that a bulb is burned out. Change the bulb (be careful to put it in the same as the old one as it probably is 2 bulbs in one , parking and turn/stop) and you should be fine.

92 caprice classic turn signals not working, but the bulbs are fine. Hazards, brakes, etc all work fine. Any ideas?

Yes, the problem is the turn signal flasher is defective. You can has two flasher relays. One for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. That is why the hazard lights flash and the turn signals do not. Replace the turn signal flasher relay located on the drivers side of the steering column, mounted behind the instrument cluster in the convenience center. They are both mounted in the same location so turn on the hazard lights and the one that you put your finger on that is not clicking is the turn signal relay.

98 Hyundai Elantra turn signal and hazards only work sometimes.

You need to replace the fuse - have a look at the manual and see which fuse it is buy a new one put it in and it should be fine - the on off thing is where the fuse wire touches and then moves again.

Turn signals sometimes don't work

Change the flasher to an electronic unit. They are far less likely to give you trouble.
