Question about 1997 Lincoln Town Car
Check engine light (code P430) comes on intermittently (approx. every two to three months) after drivers side (bank 2) cat. convertor and oxygens senors have been changed. Senors (2) are approx. three years old and the cat. convertor is less than one year old. Note: bank 1 cat. convertor and sensors were changed aprrox. three years ago. The car has 150,000 miles on it.
I think you will find the aftermarket Cat Conv. is the source of your problem, but without hooking up to the factory test equipment at my disposal at my Ford dealer this at best and educated guess based on 20 years of emission related work, I am a Ford certified master electronics technician
