Low beams do not work but High beams do

The low beams in my Mazda 3 do not work but the high beams do. Do I need to replace the bulb itself or the entire headlight?

I have already replaced both bulbs too.  Both my low beams are out now but I have high, fog, rear, and brake lights all working fine.

Yes you are... but only the bad onemake sure must be carefully when you take out the old bulbs. take this with you to the spare part..ask the store for the same type...and some times you must say to them type and brand of your car.
when you install new bulbs remember don't touch the glass area 'cause can make light not bright...good luck

High beams work for both lights, 1 low beam does not

Check for power with a test light with the light connected. If you have power then its the ground. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to find break. As I recall they did have seperate fuse for left and right headlight high & low beam. Also did you get a defective new bulb?

Mazda cx7. both high beams work and one low beam works. how can i tell if its a headlight or some other problem

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. These new lights have two types lin one bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. Find the bulb that isn't lighting for the low beam and replace it with a new bulb. If it doesn't work, you need to check the wiring to that specific light. Since it is only one, the new bulb should work.

I have a mazda 6 that has a headlight problem, low beams do not work and high beams do. It started with one light goning out and next time i started the car the second one went out. Also front makers went...

if your vehicle has H4 headlight bulbs fitted you will find that they have both high & low beam filaments in them, what has most likely happened is that the low beam filaments are blown & the bulbs need to be replaced, also you may find that high & low beam circuits are on separate fuses, & also the front markers may have there own fuse check the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

My passenger low beam headlight does not work but the high beam and running lights do

Ordinary bulbs has two coils, one for the low and another for the high. The low may have burned out. To make sure swap the two lights if the same happens then you can be sure it is the bulb you need to replace. If not then inspect the wiring and the socket itself for burns or loose connections.

No headlights come on but high beams work as well as the other lights the fuses seem to be ok. Please help.

If your highbeams are working fine, you must be referring to your low beams not working I would simply check the 2 bulbs and make sure the low beam filament is good, theres a strong possibility that your BOTH low beam filaments are bad and require replacement of both headlight bulbs to get them working again its a very simple repair.....
