On this type of Honda Accord, just pulling on the alternator won't work. There is one bolt that locks the adjustment position and another that controls the tension. If you want to tighten it because it is squeeking, I suggest installing a new belt. A Haynes manual will have sufficient information to show you the location of the bolts.

Without the belt do all the pulleys turn easy. Power steering, water pump, alternator, and tensioner pulley. There is probably only one way the belt will stay on but make sure you have the smooth side to the smooth pulley and the grooved side to the grooved pulleys. See if any of the pulleys have and wiggle in them.

A squeeking type sound coming from the serpentine

Noise could be the result of a dried out belt, a belt that needs adjustment or any one of the pulleys driven by the belt. The oil pump has nothing to do with the belt. Inspect it and try tightening it up a bit. If that does not help, remove the belt and check all the pulleys for noise and rough turning, replace the belt and re-tighten.

When it started and idle it makes a squeeking noise

The noise is the serpintine belt, these cars are very sensitive the belt needs to be very tight. The adjuster is a long bolt on the side of the alternator.

It may be the water pump that is making the noise if the noise is constant.
