Question about 2001 Jaguar XJ8
My 2001 Jaguar XJ8 makes thumping sound from the front end when I hit a bump. Car has 88,000 on it. A mechanic told me that it is the bushings that need replacing. How do you know if this is correct? How much should this cost? Closet Jag dealer is 100 miles,
There is no way to tell other than having it lifted off the ground and have a mechanic or mechanic friend look at it.
The bushing wear can usually be seen when the car is up off the ground. but no promise that the bushings would be the problem for sure.
