Question about 1983 Ford Thunderbird

Headlights flickering When I turn on my high beam headlights for about 5-10 minutes, they start flickering on and off, even my low beam lights too. So I turn the high beams off and it's just fine. Then I'll turn them on again and turns the low and high beam lights on and off. If you have any ideas please email me. Thanx.

The "circuit breaker for this vehicle is on the back of the light switch. They get finicky and start blowing after a few minutes on and will reset in a few, but then go off again.
You have to replace the switch.

This could be caused by a lot of different things,,but usually it is the fault of the Headlight Relay.
Try replacing the relay before going further.

Ok I have seen tons of posts about this issue with the Pontiac Sunfire, but no clear solution. I have a 2001 Sunfire the yesterday the Day Running Lights quit working. My passenger side head light will...

First check the R/S headlight fuse in the dash fuse panel (left side), second make sure the R/S low beam headlight bulb filament isn't blown, both these scenarios will do what you are saying. The DRL's work when both low beam lights are in series, thus only 6v going to each bulb at reduced brilliance. The high beam is a totally separate circuit controlled by the multifunction switch. The DRL relay is controlled by the Body Control Module, grounded there, and it will also illuminate the service vehicle soon light. It could also be a bad ground at G204. Its on the steering column support bracket.

My 87 k5 blazer headlights don't turn on when the car is started and running any more... all 4 headlights turn on fine when I pull the lever all the way out for high beams

The vehicle should not have to be running for head lights to burn.If high beams work, then the low beam head lights could be burned out, even though they light up with high beams. The dimmer switch, can be the problem if the head lights only work on high beam.

High beams wont turn on.

First place to start is with headlight switch. I did have a case many years ago when both high beams were blown out at once, but this is rare. When you have the headlight switch out, jump power from te low beams to the high beam contacts. If high beams come on, replace switch.
