Question about 2003 Ford Focus
January 28, 2209 It happened this morning at home, it would not say a thing, all of the lights come on and then go off...but it would not even try to start..I tried 3 times and then it just magically crunk up...now I am at work and tried to leave at lunch and here we go again..no cranking, no nothing. Could this be my starter or alternator....the battery is only 2 months old, my horn works too?
January 29, 2009 ok, I took the car to Autozone yesterday and they check the battery, cables, and the alternator and everythig was good, he cleaned the battery up a bit and it worked fine until today at lunch....I went to the mailbox and the car cut off while I was driving, the gages went crazy jumping and then the car clicked right back on when I pressed the gas ...but then my radio would not come on for about 5 min? It seems to me to be some wires not doing their jobs?
Look for sulfate around terminals boil a cattle of water and pour water on top of both terminals slowly, do not touch terminals with your hand or avoid skin contact with Battery and terminals, after battery top is clean wipe of the top and look for caps, remove end caps negative and positive first and look at inside water level on battery, it has to cover the inside metals plates at list 1/2 inch, plates submerged on that water, if water is close or under metal plates level? add on the 12 reservoirs, do not over flood, Use any clean water, than no water, Distilled water is the best to use.
.Check also main fuse or main key wires and connections,
Check grown attached bolt to metal body.
Check connection of Battery Main positive attached starter motor.
