Question about 1991 Cadillac Seville

No heat in 91 Cadillac Sedan Deville

I have a 91 Cadillac Sedan Deville that has no heat. We have replaced the blower motor and it blows cool air. All the hoses have been checked and there is no overheating problems so the thermostat is fine. We suspect there is something going on with the heater control module. Do you know where I can get a diagram of the heating system to show where this is located? Thanks for your assistance.

I would beleive more that you have build up in the heater core. Try taking loose the heater hoses from the block and use a water hose to spray into one of the hoses letting it come out the other hose then switch hoses with the water hose and keep reverseing for 2/3 times each hose. sounds like stop leak may have been used in a prior time and may be blocking water flow.

Good luck,

92 cadillac deville no heat or air blowing at all

Devilles use a controller instead of a basic blower resistor.
Someone would need to check the blower motor for power and ground, then check the controller mounted in the HVAC box on the firewall.
You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams needed to troubleshoot the system.

I have a 1997 Cadillac deville my car will not blow out heat from the AC... I can feel warm air seeping out mg the vents but not blowing. I checked the blower motors fuse and its OK....is it my blower...

More than likely it's blower motor of blower relay. GMs are notorious for blower motor failures because they're running constantly when engine is on. (If you'll note there is NO off position just low to hi)

Possible plugged evaporator core restricting air flow into the compartment.Remove the blower resistor/module and check for plugging.

Follow the wires from the blower motor back to the blower motor resistor, normally only a few inches away and held in by a 7 mm screw. Replace it

Have you tried smacking the blower motor? If it starts running after you hit it, replace it.

Ihave a 1992 caddy deville Ican hear the blower motor blowing .

I may have had a similar problem, for a long time my blower motor made a loud howling/roaring noise, hard to explain, but I only heard the noise when the blower was turned on. It continued to blow air for a couple years then just quit, the noise it made continued for another 6 months to a year without air-flow. Finally it quit blowing air at all. I eventually replaced the blower motor and no more noise and air flow was restored. Hopefully you already have fixed this because removing and replacing the blower motor wasn't fun.
