Was the tailpipe covered up by the snow? If it was, the car couldn't breathe and it died.

How do I get the shifter button unstuck? I can't remove the key although I can change gears.

I would start with a short squirt of WD40 around the stuck button and then try to work it, see if it gets unstuck.

My Car keys freqently get stuck in the ignition what is the problem?

Hi, The key that you have cut is too rough and needs to be filed abit.
To get the key out of the lock spray some lubricant in and wiggle it till it comes out. DW40 or Graphite lube is good. Good luck

How do I get my key out of my Nissan Maximas ignition?

I don't know very much about cars myself, but I had the same problem with my 96 Nissan Maxima. It turned out that the button on the shifter knob wasn't releasing all the way, causing the key to be stuck in the ignition. I pushed on the button a few times to get it unstuck and the key came right out. Hope this helps.

Transmission shifts into reverse nice and smooth...shift into drive and there is no noise nor does it engage at all into drive??? This happened after car was stuck in snow...after shifting from drive and...

u should check ur transmission fluid to see if it is dark (burnt) if so ur gonna b outa luck u most likely burnt it up. fluid will also have a strong burnt smell if it is black. trannys build up alot of heat wen trying to get unstuck in snow an ice. diminished air flow through radiator or trans cooler wen stuck also adds more heat to the unit, especially wen running it hard on ice. they get hot really fast

It will not shift out of park no matter what I

Turn ignition key one click>put car in neutral>start engine>put in drive. Chances are that you've experienced ignition issues before this happened. I was told that it's not uncommon for the '95 T-bird since the ignition is ****

Car wont stay started

Perhaps you have a partially frozen fuel line from sitting in the snow bank. Pour a bottle of gasline antifreeze in it for now, just to see if that may help. It may only be getting enough fuel to idle, but not run when accelerator pushed. Hopefully if that is the problem, the antifreeze will work it's way down the line enough to get you out of there.
