Need to be more specific here. Runs misfiring? or vibrating excessively at about 1500, and again about 3000 rpm? If it's the latter, chances are your engine's balance shaft is not timed correctly. This causes a heavy high-frequency vibration/buzz throughout the car, at the aforementioned rpm ranges. If it's more like a misfire/stumble, look into your ignition system, or possibly a sticking EGR valve. (This will cause a mild surge/bucking under light accel, peaking between 45-50mph. Good luck!

My 2001 Honda Oddyssey EX with about 78,000 miles is having erratic shifting. How can I get this problem solved by Honda?

honda changed the trans in 02 to a bigger one because the 99-01 had an under sized trans the same trans as in the accord, good news for you is honda has a recall on them so get it down there and get the new trans put in for free

The 4 wd on my '01 4Runner won't engage. I tried "hitting" the a.d.d. actuator w/ a hammer to see if that would free it up and unplugged the 4wd ECU, neither worked. Any suggestions??

Have you check all your fuses??

Try this: Put the car in low gear, engage the 4 wheel drive, wait a few seconds (the 4wd indicator lights should be flashing) then accelerate to about 3500 rpm and let off the gas pedal all the way. You should here a 'clunk' when it engages.

What is check engine light on my hinda oddyssey

It means the computer has found a problem. Sometimes it is just an error and if you disconnect the battery for five minutes then reconnect the battery it will reset. If after driving the vechicle for about 50-100 miles the "check engine" light illuminates again go to your local auto parts store and ask them to check it. Most of them will check it at no charge and tell you what the code is & what it means. Autozone stores are one that always does this for free.

Daytime running light

Unless this is a Canadian model, it did not come with DRL's. They do not make them on U.S. 98 Odyssey.

According to Honda, it is not possible to install DRL's on the US model.

Transmission problem

Sounds like your transmission light is going out. When the TC light comes on thats your first warning that something is wrong. This happened to us on our 2001 Odyssey in 2007 and Honda replaced the transmission under the 7 year 100000 mile warranty.

Some times not engaged to dryshaft when TC on

Check the level and color of the transmission fluid. Sounds like a fluid pressure issue. If the fluid is red thats good but if the fluid is low and/or dark brown and smells burnt. That isn't good. You can try having the system flushed but don't get your hopes up because of the year of the minivan you might need a transmission.

My 2003 honda odyssey's headlight is not working but the high beam works. help pls

I have a similar problem with a 2002 oddyssey. All fuses intact. Was able to switch both relays as relays running other working systems in car were same. No change in problem. Changed bulbs. no change in problem. Found that if I fidgeted with the control stick I could get the DRL's on. I suggest changing the headlight control stick.
