Question about 2002 Kia Sportage
THE FUEL PUMP IS IN THE GAS TANK, THERE MAY BE ACCESS under the rear seat cushion, if so there will be a removable sheet metal plate, if not the fuel tank must be removed..

I have replaced several water pumps on different makes but not on a KIA. I recommend you don't learn how to fix it from the internet! Buy a repair manual at the parts store. Best $25 you'll ever spend. Good luck!

Check the red 10 amp fuse in the fuse box and be sure it is not blown if it is replace, if not drain the fuel tank cause you are going to be replacing the electric pump in the gas tank.
