Hello,
From your very brief description I would purchase two replacement bulbs for the lights that aren't working, although you may have looked at them and they seem o.k. the filiaments on the brake light side are heavier than sidelight ones so if fused sometimes you can't see the break in them.
As your third brakelight is fully functional this is the reason I would be looking for replacement.
I hope this helps? please remember to appraise my FREE effort and press that Blue button if sorted, Thank You!
Paul 'W' U.K.

What bulb goes to the top brake light on 2003 Mercedes Kompressor c230

Do you mean the centre brake light in the rear window? The standard brake lights on the right and left side of the car use a standard brake light bulb. The centre 'third' brake light is a sealed unit and has to be replaced as a complete fitting. Both jobs are easy enough to do yourself.

Holden captiva lx brake lights not working

It is common for the plastic brake light switch to get jammed or brake. Remove and make sure small centre rod moves. To remove just turn and release light a light bulb. If switch fails it will prevent brake lights and can also prevent gear selector to move and also make brake pedal feel spungy.

Message centre posted "check stop lamp" what does

Sounds like you have a blown brake light globe. Often the brake light circuit electrical resistance is monitored and will have detected a blown globe (bulb) Have someone put their foot on the brake pedal and make sure all the brake lights are working. If not replace the faulty globe or repair the fault. Blown brake light globes on a few modern vehicles can cause many engine running faults which seem unrelated to the brake lights.

Having problems with brake lights. The hazard light and blinkers are working when applied. When I apply brake the centre light on hatch door works but the two side lights don't work

Well the fact the high mount/3rd brake light works proves brake light switch is working. I would suspect factory trailer connector wire which feeds off tailight is broken. Follow wire from plug back to left taillight where it is exposed to the elements.

faulty turn signal switch would effect brake lights if its faulty.because brake lights and turn signal feeding off same circuit.

Brake lights not working but centre mount is!!

the problem is most likely in the turn signal switch. the power for the left and right brake lights goes through the turn signal switch, but power for the center mount comes straight from the brake light switch. this allows the brake light to be turned of so the turn signal can operate as they use the same filimant in the bulb.

Unknown light on dash

It sounds like a brake pad warning light. Sometimes can be linked in with the brake fluid light.
Check the brake fluid level first. If its ok then check the front brake pads. If the pads are worn down the fluid level will have dropped. Also if the fluid level is low the sensor will bring on the light.
