Question about 1995 Ford Escort
On the Ford Escort LX 1995, there is a fuse box on the left side of the car under the dash. It is rectangular in size. I can get this cover off to expose the fuses; however, there is a small fuse cover on the right of this panel that houses the cigarette lighter fuse. I can't figure out how to take this cover off to expose the fuse. Is there a hidden latch or a trick that I might be missing? Any help would be appreciated.
Very simple! In a vertical orientation the cover is hinged at the top. Gently use a screwdriver to open the bottom and the cover will be able to swing up. Uses a 20 Amp fuse.

I can't get the fuse cover off - does anyone have more specifics on how exactly you do it? I tried prying it with a screwdriver, and couldn't get it to budge. It's *REALLY* on there tight. Which side did you pry on? Left or Right? (Left = closest to other fuses.)

Use a small screw driver and pull cover outwards. one side should open.
