Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
Driving home tonight i was slowing for traffic ahead of me when i noticed as i depressed the brake pedal the turn signal indicators both lit up in the gauge cluster. When turning the signal lights flashed faster and again both indicators flashed when i arrived home i stepped on the brake pedal and both tail lights go out and the front and rear signal lights brighten up and with the turn signal the taillights both flash is this a possible flasher malfunction or the turn signal switch ?? any input on this problem would be appreciated i dont want to have to shell out for a mechanic find the problem i do most of my own work if i can help it..
You have a bad ground somewhere .. try the rear lights first make sure each light is grounded good .. then try front ones and see if they are grounded also. Remove bulbs and replace them and make sure each is in good clean condition.. thanks Jerry holler if you have more
