1994 BMW 740i I haven't started in months. battery dead. I can open the trunk but not the doors to jump. Any suggestions?

raise and support the car. slide under and hook up a jumper cable to the POsitive on the starter. hook the other end to a good battery or charger. hook up a negative cable to chassis ground and to the battery/cable. Now you have power to the entire car.

My Battery is completely dead. I know the battery is located in the trunk. But, with no power, I can not open the trunk. So, how to open the trunk for 2006 BMW 750Li without power? And, if I have to jump...

You do not need to access the battery to jump start your 7 Series. There is a metal terminal under the hood for jump starting your car or jumping another car. It is located near the passenger at the rear and has a red cap with a PLUS symbol on it. Remove the red cap and attach the postive side of the cable. Attach the negative side to the large nut just to the left.

Also, to open your trunk manually insert the metal key in the key hole next to the button that you push above your license plate.

Where do you hook up the jumper cables to 1994 740i to jump it off....without hooking it up to battery

Your batteries in the trunk right?

There should be a positive (red) post under your hood that should be surrounded by an inch of plastic. That is the positive connector that runs to your battery. Then connect the negative clamp anywhere on to the frame of the car where there's metal (not on the engine)

I cant figure out how to jump start my 1993 BMW 325is

Either hook the jumper cables to the battery in the trunk or hook the postive to the postive stud under the hood( passenger side near the firewall) and the ground to the block.

Look under the boot handle near the number plate light and you'll see a hole where you can use your key to open the boot.

under the hood there is a POWER POINT for you to hook up jumper cables . use it ! attach jumpers to a running car ,or a charged battery . this will power up your car and let you get into your trunk . GOOD LUCK

Battery died

what i would do would be to try and jump the car by popping the hood and connecting the jumper cables to the jumping post under the hood. there is a positive , and what you need to do is just ground the negative to something metal(not engine block). this is located close to the front left corner. email me if you dont understand. i will try to explain better.
