Where can i find the fuse to replace for my cig lighter

It will be in the main fuze box under the hood or in front of your knees, because there are usually other things taken off that fuze. Check the fuze box lid and see if it shows the cig lighter but it may only show something like the blower of some other ancillary item. Go through the switches etc and see if anything else has failed, it might help. The alternative is that the fuze is good but your cig unit has failed. Don't rip the dash out until you are sure.

Hi,i'm having trouble with the cig lighter on my car, it keeps blowing fuses. can i wire it directly to the battery with an inline fuse? How would i do this?

you could do this by running 2 wires directly from the battery to the back of the cig lighter and by fusing the positive.if it is only when using the cig lighter and not when charging a phone ect.it could be element on the cig lighter shorting

2001 Taurus battery drain, 1 cigar lighter doesn't work

You more than likley have a dead short from a wire
grounding out.You can test it with any plug in
apperatus designed for lighter use. If your phone charger don't work the lighter socket is dead.

CIGAR LIGHTER WILL NOT CHARGE UNLESS ENGINE

Some cig lighter plugins are wired directly to battery, others are connected to ignition. You can always re-wire it straight to fuse or radio memory wire (Yellow) on cd deck or (Green/Black) from car wiring

2004 VW Jetta engine compartment fuze box location

one is located over the battery, the other is located in the side of the dash.

First panel:
If you pop your hood the battery will be on your right sid in the front of the engine bay. There is a small rectangular piece on top of the battery with a lot of heavy guage red wires going to it. That is the engine bay fuse box.

Second panel:
if you open your driver side car door it's under neath a panel located inbetween the door and the dash board.
