Re: 2003 dodge caravan se, as i slow down to 30mph my car...
If its happening as the transmission is downshifting .. you may want to bring it to a local dealer and have the controller reprogram for that problem ..most dealers will reflash it for free since it is covered under 8year 80k federal emissions

Depending on which engine you have, its pretty simple.
You pull up or push down on the tensioner pulley to release the belt, then take it off.
Make sure you have a diagram of the belt routing before you remove it.
Not sure exactly, but I just replaced mine about 5 days ago. Mine was driving along fine and suddenly started sputtering and stalling out. Would only go about 30mph, wouldnt shift out of 1st. It was blowing black smoke out the exhaust. I had a mechanic diagnose it as being a bad computer. After I replaced it, I still had the same problems. After further research I discovered that a common problem in the 2003 caravans is the fuel rail harness. (connects the injectors to the main wiring harness) Right where the two harnesses connect, the wires are right above the intake manifold. The wires melt and short out. Hope this helps.
