Son hit curb in 2001 saturn SL2.Knocked it out of alinement. toed in pretty bad on that side. took it to firestone and they say spindal lower controle arm and frame bent. I put up on a jack the day before we took it to the firestone and didnt see anything bent except for the steel wheel next too tire sill. Can all these parts be bent but not to the eye? can the frame be changed by the average joe?

I was run off the road by another car in my 97, hit the curb and I ended up replacing the sub-frame, control arms, cv shaft and roll (anti-sway) bar. great cars but the the sub-frames are very light duty and unless its a minor bend you may as well search the salvage yards for another....

I would get a second opinion but yes you can tweek a component a small amout but still take it out of adjustment range. You normally wouldn't replace a frame but would have it straightened by a professional body shop. It may be prudent to involve the insurance company

How much is a wheel alinement for a 2001 Hyndai Elantra? & How bad is this ?

It depends on the pricing the shop you take it to charges. There is no "one set fee" for alignments. You can get a 2 wheel alignment, or a 4 wheels alignment. The alignment will also depend on how wore your tires are; how worn the front suspension is and if the car was in any type of accident, or if you've hit a curb all have to figure in.

My son took the dash board apart on my 1994 Saturn sl2 and I can not figure some of it out. I need a diagram to work from.

I posted all of the photos but the interface is cutting off some of the diagrams that I copied for you. I hope the partial views help and get you started on what you need.9ce475a.gif

Just need to know how to aline timing markes 1.9l sohc 1994 sc1

"Just need to know how to aline...". What? The best advice that I can give you is to get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle. Anything that will need aligning should be explained in that manual. Good Luck.

The sub frame is also known the engine cradle assembly, if it is damaged get another from a wrecting yard, without allot of special equip and tools you are wasting your time trying to repair the old frame, of course I don't know how badly it is damaged so this could be incorrect.

Got in my 2000 Saturn sl2 after going in to get my son. Got in the car started. Made a terrible bucking noise and hesitated to go in reverse but when it did it bucked the whole car and then on the way home...

This car is known to have a couple problems with the automatic transmission. One possibility is that the differential pin has come loose and his hitting on the inside of the transmission. This requires an overhaul, however it doesn't sound like your problem. This transmission is also known for having the valve body in the transmission wear out and cause erratic shifting. This could be your problem. It is still a fairly expensive repair, but does not require the transmission to be removed or overhauled. Hope this helps.
