your best bet would be to have a mechanic you trust evaluate this car. if the car has been winter driven since 1991, there is a possibility there might not be much structural integrity in the underbody. the shake could be a simple wheel balance issue, but the front end should be inspected. my personal feeling is that this car requires alot more repairs than it is worth, but as i said, someone you trust should look at it. its hard to say if it's worth fixing when i cant see it!
hello i got a 1990 dodge daytona shelby the code 13 is MAP sensor signal to the computer (ECU) not changing so the map sensor is should be on the firewall with a vacuum line on it little black box looking thing well make sure it plug in and good and that it dose not have a leaking vacuum line if that dose not work you have a bad map sensor thay run about 30 to 100 at auto zone o onec you think you fix it remove the battery term for about 5 mins with the key on and trun the key off before conttecting the battey back up drive for about 20 mins to see if the code show up if you get code 55 all that means is end of falt code list you mite get a code 12 meaning The battery has been disconnected and the computer (ECU) has been reset hope that help keep that daytona runing it a good car
Well, I can tell you that your computer has been flashed or replaced with a flashed unit. That switch switches between maps and would be my first suspect. I suggest you get another stock computer. You can find them cheap at a junk yard or at one of a couple online message boards like turbododge.com or turbomopar.com.
hello i got a 1990 dodge daytona shelby you may want to see if you got a vacumm leak any were on the car and the map sensor has a vacuum line on it make sure it not leaking it would not hurt to replace the map sensor what it dose is runs a single to your computer then your computer controls the fuel injectors base on the map sensor voltage hope this helps
you really need to test fuel pressure/did you replace filter under car/you should also replace fuel regulator on top frt of eng./but most likely the fuel pump has moved on the mounting bracket and allowing fuel to leak back into the tank (low pressure)
