Need to remove plastic molding in back of 2003 GMC Yukon

Pot of Chili spill in rear of yukon. Shampooed carpet wet vac'd. Lots of Fabreeze, etc. Still smells like yuk when closed up for a few hours. Anywhere to go to get easy instructions on removing plastic molding so I can get the carpet out?

Thanks in advance for your help!! (:>

Go to the library and look for the Factory Service Manuals (not Hanes or Chiltons or Motors) for your vehicle. You might want to call the library first and ask if they have them, or can they order from the repository library. These are what the dealers use to repair and troubleshoot all aspects of these cars.

I've got an '01 Tahoe that I had to tear into to repair the A/C. But I just dove in.

Seems like I removed the threshold across the bottom of the lift gate by removing screws, then I kind of followed the path of taking parts out from there.

Good luck. I'm sure that will smell pretty good this summer (although my home made Texas Chili always smells good!).

2001 Yukon XL carpet in rear section on passenger side is continually wet, despite dry weather. I suspect is is somehow getting A/C condensation? Any suggestions?

{: ) You should check and clean first the rear a/c drain hose. It may be clogged with accumulated dust. You can use a narrow non-metallic tool to clean through the hose. If the drain hose is all clear, check again operation and observe if water had drained through the hose. Otherwise the water may be draining elsewhere on the housing. There could be leak on the housing although rarely happens, and especially if the rear a/c housing has been serviced recently. If this is the case, you will have to remove the rear quartertrim panel to get a closer look on the rear HVAC housing.

My A/C will only blow through the defrost. I have a 2003 yukon XL. The back A/C works fine.

it is vacuum controled and when the controls on the dash recieve no vacuum, the system defaults to the defrost only air flow mode.
Starting at the vacuum source on the intake manifold, check the vac line as it goes through the firewall, i believe there is a small plastic check valve that sometimes leaks.
Its just going to be a matter of following the path of vacuum all the way to the control unit if needed

My yukon rear ac i think! got my rear rear carpet all wet im thinking ac drain plug but dont really know how it works any ideas thanks ronn

The A Pillar is filling up with water and running out the hole where the front kick panel attaches. I took me 6 months to find this and a snake camera from Harbor Freight. The water runs down under the sill and soaks the front and back carpets. Seal the door hinges and the door grommet where the wires go from the pillar to the door with silicone black. Pull out the grommet and seal around it well. I also drilled a drain hole into that cavity just under that pillar but behind the front of the door bottom corner so it cant be seen with the door closed. No more problems!!!

Does the truck have a push button selector on the dash? If so, you need to replace the drive motor on the transfur case.

Does the back seat of the yukon come out? I can

by the picture it looks like a 2000 to 2004 yukon.
im assuming you are talking about the 3rd row seat?
if so yes it comes out, the instructions are numbered on the seat, 1, 2 3.
if you are talking about the rear seat, inline with the rear doors, they do not come out, only fold down
