Get new O2 sensor. Jack car up off the ground, and safety block.
Allow exhaust system to cool.
Spray PB Blaster on O2 sensor.
Get O2 sensor socket, attach to wrench, grit teeth, and turn to loosen.
Install new O2 sensor.

Start at the exsoust manifolds.follow it back and you will find the o/2 sensors. I would spray them with WD 40 before you try to take them out. most of them can be very tight and hard to get to. make sure that you unpulg them and check the wires to make sure they are on.

Ther are at leat 3 and maybe 4 o-2 sensors in that particular truck...one on each exaust pipe coming down from manifold...and one after convertor on each bank....Pass.side before convertor is bank one, sensor one ..behind convertor is bank one sensor two..drivers side before convertor is bank two, sensor one...behind convertor is bank two sensor two(If equipped with four....scan will tell you which one is bad....good luck..lee

the O2 sensor for bank one sensor one is located between the catalytic converter and the engine in the exhaust head pipe. see photo of your engine cylinder layout, the sensor u want to replace is the one at the cylinder #1 bank on right.

they are on the exhaust one before the catylac converter and or one after the cat. there is a special deep socket for this its not expensive but make sure you change the right one.
